The Office of Financial Aid seeks an Administrative Assistant at our Pleasant Hill campus, 40 hours per week position, Monday – Thursday 9:30am – 6:00pm and Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm. This non-exempt, grade 2 position comes with benefits that include vacation and sick leave accruals, medical, dental, vision, 403(b) retirement eligibility and some tuition waiver benefits.
The requirements for this position include two years of college, BA degree preferred, ability to work with a diverse constituency and with confidential information in a professional manner. Ability to work on multiple projects in a busy environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to provide assistance to students and staff in a professional manner. Excellent follow-through and administrative efficiency are essential. Demonstrated administrative experience with excellent organizational, written and oral communications skills required. Advanced computer skills required;. Work experience in Financial Aid office is helpful. Familiarity with office procedures and equipment required (i.e. fax, copier, and computer).
This is an administrative staff support position reporting to the Director of Financial Aid. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Reception assistance for prospective and current students, word processing, answering phones and responding to questions, scheduling appointments, coordinating, mailings, record maintenance, filing, liaison to the financial aid counselors, providing support as needed for students, alumni, the University community and the public. The successful candidate will possess the ability to interact professionally with tact and diplomacy with a diverse constituency.
